Why apply updates?
Did you know that applying updates regularly can resolve most security problems of your system? Potential consequences of not installing security updates are damaged software, loss of data, or identity theft. Every year, malware causes millions of dollars of damage worldwide. The main reason is that users don’t install critical software or operating system updates, allowing malware to exploit loopholes that exist in every software ever developed. Vulnerabilities can potentially be exploited within hours of them becoming publicly known. So once a security update is available, you should plan to install the fix to protect your system from malware attacks.
Do it Regularly, Make it Easy
In many cases, automatic updates can be set so that they do not interfere with regular working hours and do not need to be addressed manually. Some programs need to be updated as well. Be sure to include things like Adobe Updates, Browser Updates, and any programs that are used regularly.
